Ta!

Thanks to everybody who came along to the gig at the Ram Jam - I haven't had that much fun at a show in a long, long time.

Video footage on the way...

CBG!

I've done it!  I've actually made a guitar out of a cigar box and a piece of wood.  Photos to follow, no doubt, but I'll be playing the "Mercator Jupiter" tonight at the Ram Jam Club - come along and hear the glorious noise it makes!

Facebook? Arsebook!

Today's exciting news is that I'm quitting Facebook - I waste far too much time on that thing playing Scrabble, and I'm not in the slightest bit interested in playing Farmville!

Fat Pigeon album now available

It's the album literally a few people have been waiting for:  PIGEON DOES GEESE: 33 Bohemian Folk songs.

Check out the Fat Pigeon website to get your copy!

I am not...

... a film studies lecturer at Worcester uni.  While I'm happy to reply to your emails, please don't expect me to be of any use to you.  I suggest you find your lecturer's correct email address.

New direction.

Well, I think it's pretty clear in my mind what I'm going to be doing for a while: I'll be concentrating on writing and recording new songs in the studio for a while, and keeping live shows out of my mind.  "Everybody needs a little time away", as Chicago once so wisely said...

Bubbling away...

Now then!

It's been a while since I've updated this - I really must do it more often!

Well, lots of things have been happening here at Falconer Towers.  First of all, I've been looking more and more at giving the live shows a rest for a few months and concentrating on songwriting and producing for other artists.  It's good fun and a bit of a change, and is already yielding results - Red Hot Rita has been optioned for use in the upcoming remake of The Mechanic, starring Jason Statham.  Ellish!

Earwig oh, earwig oh, earwig oh!

Now then!

It's been a while, it seems, but now I'm back!  Yes indeedy, I promised new gigs and songs, and that's exactly what I have!

For starters, there's a biggie coming up on 30 October at The Bull's Head in Barnes.  Check out the Gigs page for more details.

Then there are the revamped Native Tongue shows, which will now be on Wednesdays and at a decent hour, starting in early/mid September.

Ouch!

Out of hospital now, and it looks like I've got a very painful but relatively brief recovery period ahead of me - very excited!

Songwriting is proving a little tricky with the amount of painkillers I'm on - how the hell did Fleetwood Mac get anything done?!

Leg

Thanks to everybody who came down to the Native Tongue on Saturday - Soulja Boy to the tune of Für Elise pretty much sums the evening up!

I'm going to be in hospital for the fifth and hopefully final operation on this bloody leg on Tuesday, but I'll be back at the Native Tongue on Saturday 11th July.  Tell your friends - you'll have to go a long way to find another show like this one!
